Ari, Noah and Poul can get the chance
Tonight at 5 pm the Faroese national team will go into the fire south of Tbilisi, Georgia. Eyðun Klakstein said in connection with the selection and also to Sosialin, which will be on the street today, that he today intends to give more inexperienced men the opportunity today.
Here we will think of midfielder Noah Mnenéy and forward Poul Kallsberg, who Eyðun Klakstein was coach of the U-21 national team, where they were key players.
And so it is certainly on the side of expecting that Ari in Haraldstovu Petersen will get a moment between the Faroese poles. He was a goalkeeper for the U-21 national team in 10 games. There are examples of goalkeepers who have been on the national team bench for several years before they got the chance, and some have sat for several years without ever getting the chance.
Ari in Haraldstovu Petersen has been the goalkeeper for 07 Vestur all the games so far this year, so he is in training.
Two other players were sent off when Samuel Johansen Chukwudi and René Shaki Joensen were forced to give up. There is little doubt that Samuel would have had the chance tonight if he had been available. The question now is what will happen to Gullbrand Øregaard and Martin Agnarsson, who were both on the U-21 national team when Eyðun Klakstein was coach.
-We are going to give more of the young players the chance tonight, and it means that some of the experienced players will not have such a big role tonight. In this round, there is no doubt that it is Monday night’s qualifying match against Gibraltar that has the highest priority, and we are also thinking about it tonight.
Among the experienced players, who usually are central, and who may not play such a big role tonight, are Viljormur Davidsen and Hallur Hansson and also Odmar Færø, who seems to be such an important player that he is always on the team.
