Declaration from the Faroese for Peace
Last week the royal couple visited and this week the prime minister visits together with his closest ministers in connection with the State Assembly and a meeting of the Cooperation Council. They are welcome to Faroe Islands.
But the mentioned representatives of the Danish State currently support a policy that prioritizes disarmament over peace processes.
This means that wars continue, where innocent people die every day, and polarization between races and social groups increases with enemy rather than friend images.
The arms race policy also violates social affairs in a broad sense, because the premise seems to be a match between the good on this side and the evil on the other.
In other words: “It is necessary to disarm because certain peoples in the world are problematic”
The question is whether such a policy makes the world and the everyday life of ordinary people safer? Neivan.
For it is rarely the elite who rule cities who suffer in war, terrorism and violence; on the other hand, it usually affects people, children, women and men.
As part of the international community, the Faroe Islands can choose a different and collective path, and demonstrate to the king, prime minister and other world leaders that peace processes and disarmament are the best and most lasting solution to create peace and security among peoples, peoples and countries.
Faroe Islands for Peace would therefore like to call on the Parliament, the Government and the people of Faroe Islands to work for the ideal of peace (pacifism), disarmament, tolerance for different cultures, human and equal rights – both at home and abroad – in order to prevent war, violence and violence against each other. type.
On the smooth floors, there is a layer of armor.
On the starving warships, a liqueur is poured.
Good opposites can be found in other clothes!
