At 19:45 tonight, the Faroese men’s national team will play their third match in the qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup, when Gibraltar comes to visit at Torsvøll.

The Faroese team is well prepared for tonight’s match, which is Eyðun Klakstein’s first at home since he took over as coach of the men’s national team in November last year.

– We are going after the victory – no doubt about it. But for it to succeed, the performance of all of us, both coaches and players, must be good, says Eyðun Klakstein, who has made eight changes to the team, compared to the eleven who started in the training match against Georgia three days ago.

Bárður á Reynatrøð will be in goal, and the defense will be Jóannes Kalsø Danielsen, Odmar Færø, Gunnar Vatnhamar, Andrias Edmundsson and Viljormur Davidsen. The Faroese midfield will include Árni Frederiksberg, Hallur Hansson, who is also captain, Brandur Olsen and Adrian Justinussen, and the leading man will be Páll Klettskarð.

The players are Mattias Lamhauge, Ari Petersen, Jann Benjaminsen, Gullbrandur Øregaard, Daniel Johansen, Martin Agnarsson, Jákup Andreasen, Noah Mneney, Hanus Sørensen, Poul Kallsberg, Jóan Símun Edmundsson and Patrik Johannesen.

Tickets for the World Cup qualifier between Faroe Islands and Gibraltar are available for purchase on the website of the Football Association of the Faroe Islands, FSF.fo, and at atgongumerki.fo.
