Enforcement costs exploded in 2024 due to EU legislation
In a new report, the Danish Ministry of Labor has calculated the administrative costs arising from national and EU legislation, respectively. The simulation shows that by 2024, new EU legislation will have resulted in administrative burdens for Danish companies of ISK 10 billion. ISK, and change costs of ISK 8 billion. ISK.
The new burdens total ISK 18 billion. ISK, which is considerably more than in previous years. Danish commentators believe that this is an explosion in costs from EU legislation.
The report from the Danish Ministry of Labor comes in the wake of the so-called Draghi report from September last year. This report confirmed that the EU’s competitiveness has deteriorated.
The Draghi report was a warning to the political systems in the EU, and the European Commission has also put on the map measures to improve competitiveness. For example, the commission has set itself the goal of making reporting requirements for the industry considerably simpler.
