Faroe Islands at home tonight

Good hopes

After the great performance of the Faroese national team in Latvia last weekend, it will be exciting to know what we can do this weekend at home.

Hopes are for a good result against North Macedonia today. North Macedonia beat Luxembourg 3-0 in their first match, but it was also North Macedonia’s first international victory in 17 years. The Faroe Islands have also sometimes won against Luxembourg. In the second match of the tournament, North Macedonia got quite the ears in the machine against the strong Swiss team, which won 25-7, 25-16 and 25-6 in three sets. This says so much that North Macedonia is not among the strongest countries. Unstable Austria Austria is ranked as the top of the nine countries in the tournament, and before the tournament it was thought that Austria would be in a class of its own, although last year Austria finished last in the stronger Gold League, and therefore moved down to the Silver League, but the results in the first place, however, have Austria is to be talked about, because in the first match Austria lost 3-2 to Georgia. And it was Georgia that the Faroe Islands won 3-1 in 2023. On the other hand, Austria won convincingly 3-0 against Iceland, which, however, won 3-2 against Georgia. So it is likely that the countries fluctuate in quality.
