Faroe Islands in the Golden League

The Faroese preparations for the upcoming European Championship final in Oslo will begin in earnest at the end of October/November, when the men’s national team will participate in the Golden League Gjensidige Cup in Trondheim, Norway.

The competition is held every other year for women and men, with Denmark, Norway and the Netherlands participating regularly and then a fourth invited nation.

This year, the Faroe Islands have been invited to play at Spektrum in Trondheim.

It takes place from 30 October to 2 November.

Mark Lausen Marcher, sports director of HSF, comments on the participation

-This is a good opportunity for the Faroe Islands, where our men will be able to try themselves against some of the best national teams before the European Championship final. This is also a good opportunity for the coaches to test the players and the squad in relation to the training situation and the selection, which will take place in January.

Tickets for the Golden League Gjensidige Cup in Trondheim, from 30 October to 2 November, will go on sale on 19 June at 10 am. 11.00. A link will be posted on the HSF website.

The men’s national team will also play two training matches in January, before leaving for Oslo.

These will be at home against Italy.
