Gilli gives KÍ more chances

It is understood that the negotiations are about to come to an end and KÍ will soon announce the future national team player.

32-year-old Gilli R. Sørensen is most likely to move to KÍ. Gilli has played 65 A-team games for the Faroe Islands, the last of which was in 2023. He also has a long career abroad for clubs such as AaB, Brann, Odd and Vejle before moving to TB in 2024.

KÍ has since the start of the season lost two midfielders in Adam Ben Lamin and Børgi Petersen, so this is probably a player who comes in for them. In TB, Gilli has played as a midfielder in recent years, but he has most experience as a wing or back.

In international matches, KÍ coach Magnus Powell has suggested that there is a possibility that KÍ will play with three midfielders, and then Gilli is the one who is probably intended for the midfielder in addition to giving opportunities for several other positions, if injured and suspended.
