In June, the second volume of “History of Faroese Literature 1950 and beyond” was finally released. The first volume 1298-1950 came out in 2017.
The second volume covers from Jens Paula Heinesen about Rói Patursson, Hanus Kamban, Gunnar HoydalOddvør Johansen, Jóanes Nielsen, Tórodd Poulsen, Sólrún Michelsen and also up to Marjun Syderbø Kjelnæs and Katrin Otttarsdóttir.
The books by these authors and many more will be discussed until spring 2024.
This second volume is 568 pages long. and together with the first volume there are now a good thousand pages in Danish about Faroese literature.
This makes it possible for most Nordics and a lot of other people to learn about Faroese poetry.
