Since I started when I was 8 years old, it has always been Lee Chong Wei.
How does it feel to be selected for the Island Games in Oyrknoyggjar:
It feels really good. My first time there. I’ve been waiting for this for a long time!
What are your goals for the Island Games in Oyrknoyggjar?
Of course to win the team competition. Also to do well individually. It’s also important to have a beard in the meantime!
How do you prepare for the competition?
Practice strength training regularly, and drive 100 percent to each exercise. Have a good match training up against the games, so you are in match shape. Also, practice the mental. Then I also make sure I get enough sleep and have good recovery after the exercises, so my body feels good.
What are you most excited about at the Island Games?
Cohesion. Playing at the Island Games for the first time! I look forward to showing what I can do on the banana!
