Information on appropriations within Fisheries Experiments 2025
This year’s fisheries experiments have been restructured compared to previous years, with greater emphasis now being placed on commercial projects within research, development and innovation.
Fishing trials are now organized into two different subsidy schemes, where one million is allocated to smaller projects and a good three million to flagship projects.
Flagship projects
Flagship projects are commercial projects within research, development and innovation, including PhD projects.
Flagship projects are organized as a binding collaboration between a Faroese company and a Faroese research institution.
By 2025, the projects will be within the following priority areas:
• Value addition
• Everything on land
• Sustainable fishing
The application deadline for Flagship Projects was at the end of April. Six applications were received.
