KÍ did enough to win three points

Getting three points when the game is less good is often considered a good sign.

And that was what one can say about KÍ today. The experienced team, which had 10 Faroese away players from the start with at least 12 A-team games, did enough to win, and it still looks very good for KÍ in the plan to win the Icelandic Championship.

In the first half came one goal to KÍ, and it was an own goal. Otherwise, nothing much happened. B36 started well, but after the goal KÍ took over. But this was one of the games for KÍ with too little creative play, but too many ball movements without threats.

In the second half it was like KÍ was going to play a little better, when Dávid B. Andreasen and Deni Pavlovic came on the pitch to the last part of the game and Deni also decided the game with a great goal. B36 narrowed the deficit in extra time, but KÍ held on and won 2-1. In the second half B36 had three great chances in addition to the goal, while KÍ had some. The KÍ spectators chose Deni Pavovic as the player of the day and it says a lot about the fact that the spectators were not convinced of the achievements, because Deni did not come in until the 75th minute. However, KÍ goalkeeper Mark F. Jensen played a great game and one save was probably the best we have seen at Djúpumýrar this year.

KÍ did enough to win and a home game against B36 has historically been difficult, so three points is not a matter of course, although the playful entertainment was low this game.
