Klaksvíkingur is now on the point
Klaksvíkingur won by half a boat length on St. John’s Day.
Norðingur was better all the way and on the finish line there were less than two seconds from number one to number three. But the sequence was the same as last time and Klaksvíkingur was in the lead from start to finish. There is an exciting competition, because now that Norðingur is offering, not so much should change so that the leading boat can finish number three in some race.
Several other victories came to the North Islands. Tekla won in the children’s rowing boys, Fípan Fagra won in the U16 and Sundabáturin won in the 6-man men’s rowing.
Now there are two weeks until the next FM competition, which will be held at a hot spring in Fuglafjörður.
