Man on board the Norrøna – are given to search

As we wrote earlier tonight, a man has gone on board the Norrøna, which is on its way from Hirtshals to Faroe Islands.

It was seven o’clock tonight when Norrøna sailed past land in southern Norway on its way to Faroe Islands, and a search was launched all at once. Norrøna searched and ships, and a helicopter, from the Norwegian rescue service, were also involved in the search. In addition, several other ships were also involved in the search.

Two hours later, at 9 pm, the Norwegian authorities ordered Norrøna to continue their journey to Faroe Islands, but the search was to continue.

But right now the Danish newspaper Ekstra says from the Norwegian rescue service that they are given up searching, because now there is no hope of finding the man alive.

At the same time, all ships have also been ordered to continue their journey. The Norwegian rescue service also does not expect the search to resume.

No one still knows how the man went on board.
