Music, art and life in Havn

Cultural Night 2025 will be held on Friday 6 June in Torshavn and is one of the largest cultural events in Faroe Islands. The event, which was first held in 2001, has developed into a regular feature of harbor life and is often called "little Olavsøka" because of its varied and lively taste. Visit Torshavn is organizing the Cultural Night.

“This is the day when institutions and businesses open their doors to the public, museums are open, restaurants and guest houses expand and shops have been open for a long time,” says Tordis á Rógvi Biskopstø, director of Visit Torshavn. it can be seen that this year’s program is spiced with exciting book launches, concerts, exhibitions, competitions, entertaining children’s events and much more.” 

The opening of the Cultural Night will take place at Vaglin at 10:00. 18.00, and it is Elsa Berg who sets the Cultural Night. Afterwards, Dania O. Tausen will perform some songs. Although the session is at. 18.00 start more events earlier in the day. “Most of the events are in the city centre, but there are also other events to be found around the harbour, both in Argir and in Hoyvík, so you can enjoy the city from all sides this day,” says Tordis.
