Now we will get to work.
Today the contract was signed to renovate and rebuild the old staff building at Klaksvík Hospital. Kanjon will do the work and it will start immediately after the summer holidays, or in August this year and the building will be ready for use in two years.
The administration of Klaksvík Hospital has remained in the building until earlier this year, when it moved to the old hospital.
The building dates from the early 1960s and is located directly north of the hospital. The work includes overhauling it, and rebuilding it. The building will be used for various activities of the hospital, including a workshop, support services, apartments for patients coming for rehabilitation and their relatives, as well as apartments and rooms for health workers on duty and in temporary positions.
In addition, the Ambulance Service will have an office, a rest room, a café and a reception in the building.
