NSÍ needs people
Tonight it ended 1-1, when NSÍ in a neighborhood match had a visit from Víkingur. Víkingur equalized in the last seconds, and so NSÍ left the field for the fourth time in a row without having won the knockout stages.
-When we have lost the lead the last two times, and it has ended in a draw, it is not good enough, and we should look inside, said NSÍ goalkeeper Brandur Hendriksson Olsen after the game tonight in an interview with FM1 radio.
NSÍ is missing Petur Knudsen, who is still paralyzed by the knee injury he suffered last time the national team played. And today it was missing Jann J. Benjaminsen, who was suspended.
The first eight rounds NSÍ was the leading team, and now the yellows are in third place. There has been talk that the width of the team was not big enough, and there is a possibility that some players will be added, now that the transfer window is open.
Now the countdown will be to the European matches this summer. For the champions in Vikingur, it is pleasant that everything hangs together better. For example, Stefan Radosavljevic is finding his role after being a substitute in the first rounds, and today right-back Ari Olsen was in the starting XI for the first time since he suffered a heel injury early this spring.
B36 is usually a difficult opponent for KÍ in Klaksvík, and so it was today, although the home team won 2-1.
KÍ is the sovereign top team with 40 points, and now HB, who won 2-1 in Sørvágur, is the next challenger for Klaksvíkingar. HB has 31 points.
This was André Olsen’s sixth game on the HB bench, and the only time HB has not won the knockout stages this season was in the home game against KÍ, when it ended 1-1.
Yesterday there were two matches in Suðuroy. With a 3-0 victory in Vágur, B68 lifted themselves far away from relegation.
In the Christmas Eve match in Trongisvágur it ended 1-1 between TB and EB/Streymur.
FC Suðuroy and TB compete with 07 Vestur to avoid relegation.
The playing performances of FC Suðuroy and 07 Vestur have been better several times than the standings could indicate, and on Christmas Eve the game of TB stuck together better than it has mostly done earlier this year.
