Páll Müller signs agreement with KÍ
KÍ has now got a new young local in the squad of the best team.
KI writes:
Already tomorrow, the attacking young man will be with the team, which will meet AB at Argir in the second match in the semifinals of the løgmanssteypið.
Head coach Magnus Powell is very pleased that Páll Müller has signed a contract.
– Páll is a hardworking actor, and he deserves this opportunity. He is strong, has a good physique, which he certainly also got from handball. He breaks through in close matches in a way that is not so common for such young players, the head coach points out.
Páll has recently played for the 1st division. Although he will now be part of all training sessions with the Betri deildarlið, he will probably get more games in the 1. Division and some opportunities with the best team, says Magnus Powell.
– He will be with us tomorrow, when we go out to Argir. But we have to take his culture seriously, and that’s why it’s also about doing things in the right order. It is very important that young players are tested at the highest level, but at the same time also have the opportunity to develop in the 1. division team.
– We have seen his potential, and that is what we want to recognize with a contract that initially runs until October. Now he must prove himself, and we must also evaluate the actor’s costume. He will train with the Betri deildarlið, and if he is good enough, he will play with us, and otherwise he will certainly play more games with the 1. Deild, says Magnus Powell.
“This is an honor”Páll Múller has been training football since he was very young, and he is looking forward to training with the best team.
– This is an honor for me, says Páll Müller.
– It’s exciting to be able to play with such good players who have done so well. It is very important for me that I get this opportunity, says Páll.
When we ask Páll if it has affected his interest in football, that his father has played a lot at the highest level, he is not in doubt.
– It has certainly been very important that my grandfather has played. He has been able to teach me a lot, give me good advice and sometimes even be a little harsh, he says with a smile.
– My focus right now is just to practice and play as much as possible, while trying to eat right and do extra exercises, so I can become the best version of myself, says Páll Müller at the end.
And, if anyone knows, Páll Müller is the son of Meinhardt Joensen, a former metalworker, and Onna Müller.
