The Elderly Council on a visit to VEKS

Last week, the newly elected Council for the Elderly in VEKS had the opportunity to take a tour of the area of activity that VEKS covers. The visit was prepared by the newly elected Chairman of the Board of VEKS, Sára Jógvansdóttir, as well as by the Director and Deputy Director of VEKS.

A visit was made to Grønanes in Vestmanna, where Sunrid á Borg, head of department, offered breakfast, and presented the offers that the area offers, and then the council had the opportunity to see the premises, and to greet the residents.

At Mørkin in Streymnes, the head of department Birita Baldvinsdóttir Iversen, and the therapeutic leader, Sarita Vesturdal Vesturtún presented, among other things. about the new course of VEKS, where great emphasis will be placed on prevention as a whole, and to organize the service offerings in their own world. The day ended with a visit to Korndalsbýlið at Eiði, where Tórgerð Jallgrímsdóttir welcomed the guests, and told about the activities there, and the home service in the area. After a good conversation with the residents, the Elderly Council received sweets and coffee or tea.
