The most tired will go to rest tomorrow.
Tonight, the Faroe Islands won 28-27 against France in the World Cup for the U-21 national team in handball.
The result means that the Faroe Islands have secured a place in the quarterfinals, which will take place on Thursday. The result also means that the French are eliminated from the competition.
Denmark and Faroe Islands will play quarterfinals. At 15.15 tomorrow, Faroe Islands and Denmark will play to see which of the teams will be the winner of the group.
The Faroese team will inevitably be in the strongest lineup tomorrow.
In an interview with 3-2 at KvF after the match tonight, one of the coaches of the Faroese team Hjalti Mohr Jacobsen said:
-Now it’s been so long that we haven’t talked about what tomorrow will be like. Now that we have secured a place in the quarterfinals, it makes little sense that those who have been on the pitch a lot will play a lot tomorrow. It depends on everyone being available on Thursday, says Hjalti Mohr Jacobsen, who praises his men for the great performance tonight:
-We were ahead 4-2, and so France was ahead most of the time, before we finally got them back and won. It was the defense and the goalkeeper who were like a rock in the last minute, so France only scored two goals, while we scored more goals and won 28-27. The players know each other and are friends, and that is very important when there is so much at stake, as it did tonight, says Hjalti Mohr Jacobsen.
