On Tuesday, June 17, the extension to the sports hall was erected and the Merkið was inaugurated.
The celebration began at 16:00, where interested parties had the opportunity to see the house, and get a tour. Jógvan í Skorini, Mayor, said a few words, and then was invited to buttered bread, friendly bread and other good things.
The building will mainly house Eiðis Bóltfelag, but at the same time the extension will be useful for all citizens in the municipality. The local construction company Hammersmíð is responsible for the work.
The work has gone well and part of the building is expected to be ready for use when handball starts this winter.
