The trick is to get the tunnel flowing when the Húsareyn Tunnel opens
Put a cross on your calendar on July 6th, because there will be a popular event in Havn.
The Húsareyn tunnel opens and everyone is invited to run, walk or cycle from Marknagilsvegur, through the tunnel, along Havnarvegur and end up in the hall at Tjarnir, where the Municipality of Torshavn offers a drink.
The route is about 4 km.
The celebration begins with a horn concert at 1 pm and at 10 am. At 13.30 there are speeches and when the rope is cut, we warm up and then we all leave.
Good parking opportunities are available at Glasir and after the event buses from Tjarnir run back to the parking area.
