The U21 heroes visited Durita and Fridin
The young handball players experienced Maradona Street, the bulletproof bus and the soundproof bed, as well as kindness from the Team Klaksvík founder. We were there and got a picture
The U21 handball team has impressed the handball world with their sensational bronze placement in the World Cup final. They have been well received since they landed back in Faroe Islands.
Today they have driven by bus and have visited Klaksvík. Maradona Street in the municipal slope was a stop, where the couple Durita á Heygum and Fríðin Ziskason live. Fríðin is Rókur Ziskason’s cousin. There was neither wet nor dry. Rye bread with rolled sausage and minced meat and then the good rhubarb dessert. We were there and got some pictures.

KI shelves
They had heard about Niels Olaf Sølvará’s KÍ terrace and wanted to visit there and the agreement came quickly. They then drove from Maradona Street north to Stangavegur.
“Welcome to the KÍ hall, here are only gold medals!” said a cash Niels Olaf and a lot of laughter. They were so impressed by the terrace that they all wanted a KÍ shirt and so KÍ opened the shop for them – apparently they get a lot of “yes” where they come, the doors are open.
