There is pressure on NSÍ in Gundadali

This afternoon the points will be set for the 13th round of the best football league, when B36 gets a visit from NSÍ.

Before this round NSÍ was second, and with a victory in Gundadali today NSÍ will be second.

Last night HB took second place, when HB won 4-1 away against B68. The match was played in Fuglafjörður, because the grass at Svangaskarð is currently being replaced.

This was HB’s fifth game since the change of coach, and André Olsen’s record is four wins and one draw. This was the third time that André Olsen and his men left Eysturoy with a full elimination.

HB has 28 points and is nine points behind KÍ, and NSÍ has 27 points.

NSÍ is today disappointed that key players are not available. Brandur Hendriksson Olsen is suspended, and Petur Knudsen is injured. It may be that Klæmint A. Olsen will be on the NSÍ team, although he is paralyzed by an occupational injury. Midfielder Kevin Jablinski is out with a long-term injury.

This week, midfielder Lars Markmanrud and midfielder Beinir Nolsøe did not train with their teammates in NSÍ.

For B36, Hannes Agnarsson returns after a suspension, while Heini Vatnsdalur and Benjamin Heinesen are injured.

Yesterday Víkingur won a solid 3-0 victory away against TB. Víkingur and B36 have 20 points together with EB/Streymur, who in the last minute scored the 2-1 victory against FC Suðuroy, who in the 70th minute took the lead in Hólmur á Eiði. The goalscorer was defender Hunter Bell, who yesterday played for the 40th time in Faroese football. Last year he played 26 games in the 1st division for B71, and this year he has played one game in the competition for the løgmanssteypið and 13 games in the best national league. This was Hunter Bell’s first time scoring.

Búi Egilsson played a big role in the failure of his childhood club to be knocked out of Eiði. He had the assist when Virgar Jónsson equalized to 1-1 six minutes before the end of the game, and he scored the 2-1 winning goal in the last minute. Then Boubacar Dabo had the pass.
