Friday, July 4 at 10:00 AM 14.00 will be the fare for the new after-school club in Kollfjörður.
Burgers, drinks and something sweet will be offered after coffee/tea from Hotel Føroyar.
The new after-school center will accommodate 60 children from pre-school to 3rd grade. The building is 400 square meters in size and will be furnished for after-school activities during the day and with offers for young people in the evening.
On 24 October 2024, the City Council of Torshavn agreed to approve the total funding for the building, and on 28 October the work was launched when the old waterworks was demolished.
The work is going well, and the schedule is keeping. The building is scheduled to be delivered in February 2026.
The work was invited to tender in July 2024 between three general contractors: Búsetur, Articon and the Housekeeping Service.
Articon, together with Fuglark, had the best overall proposal and won the competition.
Subcontractors are Sp/f Munin (surveyor), Plan v/ Jóannes Hellisdal (earthworks), Sp/f EL.fo (electrical work), Sp/f Renovent (HVS work), Sp/f VM Gólv (floor laying). The painting work has not yet been tendered out.
The total construction cost is approximately ISK 23 million. ISK.
