New school leaders meet with the governor
The newly appointed head teachers in the primary school sector have been at the door of the Minister of Children and Education, Djóni Nolsøe Joensen. They talked about the job as headmaster and the various tasks both in terms of learning and well-being.
The Governor reported on the plans that are in the pipeline in the field of primary and lower secondary education, and the changes that have so far been approved in Parliament. The Governor also emphasized cooperation and communication, which are such important skills in a leadership position, and the importance of the head teacher for the school’s activities.
The Governor presented the leaders with a bouquet of flowers and wished them success and a good start in their work.
The leaders are:
• Fríðbjörg Sunadóttir Fríðheim, who is appointed as headmistress of the school at Trøðni.
• Veronika Petersen, who is appointed to a temporary position as headmistress of the school at Fossanes
• Hilda Kjølbro, who is appointed to a temporary position as a private teacher at Haraldssund School.
