Scandal in Milan: Allegations of a Prostitution Ring Involving Serie A Footballers

In recent days, the Italian media has been abuzz with disturbing revelations regarding an alleged prostitution ring operating in Milan, which has reportedly implicated over 70 current and former Serie A footballers as clients. Among those mentioned is a high-profile signing from Real Madrid during the last summer transfer window.

The Italian Financial Police have made significant strides in their investigation, uncovering a company that catered to affluent patrons in Milan, including prominent footballers. According to Marca, their operations included exclusive nightclub parties, the provision of laughing gas, and an “all-inclusive” package that explicitly referred to prostitution. It’s important to clarify that the players mentioned are not under investigation themselves; Italian law places the legal liability solely on the providers of these services.

Involvement of AC Milan and Inter Players

The alleged services targeted footballers from both AC Milan and Inter Milan, as well as players from visiting teams. Reports from Gazzetta dello Sport indicate that the company collected 50% of the fees for these all-inclusive packages, distributing the remainder to those involved in delivering the services. Notable names from Inter Milan include Alessandro Bastoni and Achraf Hakimi, while players associated with AC Milan, such as Rafael Leao and Olivier Giroud, have also been listed. It remains uncertain what specific services any of these players engaged with, as some may have merely attended nightclub events.

    Real Madrid’s Dean Huijsen Named

Notably, Real Madrid defender Dean Huijsen has emerged as one of the clients identified in this investigation, along with players from Juventus and former Barcelona midfielder Arthur Melo. Allegations suggest that services were also extended to players from Monza, Como, and Atalanta.

    Rafael Leao Responds

The only player to publicly address these allegations thus far is AC Milan’s Rafael Leao. He has vehemently denied any involvement in criminal activity and has signaled his intent to pursue legal action against anyone who tarnishes his reputation. As highlighted earlier, the Italian authorities are not actively investigating the players mentioned in the reports.

Leao took to Twitter to release a statement:

“In recent days, my name, like those of other players, has appeared on websites, social media, and in newspapers, in reference to an investigation by the Milan Public Prosecutor’s Office.

I would like to make it clear from the outset that I am completely unaware of the facts that are the subject of this investigation. I am not involved in, nor have I committed, any crime.

I urge everyone to refrain from arbitrarily or superficially associating my name with this situation, without regard for the truth or respect for privacy. Before being footballers, we are people with families and reputations.

Therefore, I have already instructed my lawyer to defend me in all cases against anyone who continues to spread false news or information that damages my reputation.”

As the story unfolds, the implications for those involved remain to be seen, with reputations hanging in the balance in this evolving scandal.
