KÍ Solidifies Lead with Win Over HB

Filip Brattbakk and Oussama Ali each found the back of the net for KÍ, who decisively triumphed 2-0 against HB in a highly anticipated showdown in Gundadalur on Sunday.

Both goals came during the first half, leaving HB unable to mount a response against the reigning Faroese champions, who are on a winning streak following their recent draw against AB.

KÍ has now closed the gap at the top of the table. In a surprising twist, NSÍ dropped points in a thrilling match that ended in a 3-3 draw against Skála, enabling KÍ to pull within two points of the leaders, who currently sit atop the Meistaradeildin.

    AB Suffers First Home Loss

B36 is also two points behind NSÍ after an impressive 4-1 victory over AB in Vika. This match marked AB’s first home loss of the season as they aim to establish themselves in the regional championship for the very first time.

Currently, Argjarn are in fourth place with 10 points, trailing HB, which now finds itself under pressure as they risk slipping further behind the top teams.

In the lower tier of the standings, Víkingur and B68 are fighting to avoid relegation. Toftamenn came close to securing a full win in Gøtu, taking a 2-1 lead midway through the second half. However, Víkingur managed to level the score with a penalty from Jørgen Nielsen in the 86th minute.

Meanwhile, 07 Vestur turned their fortunes around against EB/Streym, escaping the relegation zone with a crucial 2-0 victory in Margáir. Goals from Ola Arntsen and Jasper Van Der Heyden after halftime helped solidify their leap up the table.
