Dramatic Draw in Vika: AB Stuns KÍ

Obule Sunday Moses was poised to emerge as the hero in Vika as AB pulled off an unexpected 1-0 lead over KÍ, a team that seemed on the brink of defeat for the first time this season.

The pivotal goal came midway through the first half, but despite a series of promising chances from Klaksvíkingar, the high-flying Argjamenn held their ground. As the match neared its conclusion, it appeared as though AB might secure a remarkable win.

However, the tide turned more than eight minutes into injury time when substitute Deni Pavlovic scored, slipping the ball past the defense and restoring some measure of normalcy for KÍ.

This draw marks a troubling start for KÍ in the national championship, with the reigning champions now having dropped six points in just six matches.

Yet, while Argjamenn may feel a sting of disappointment in letting victory slip away, they can take solace in a solid start to the season, earning 10 points from their first six games and currently sitting in fourth place.

    Last-Minute Heroics for NSÍ

In another gripping encounter, NSÍ faced a challenging battle against EB/Streymur at Løkin in Runavík. With both teams generating multiple opportunities, it wasn’t until six minutes into extra time that substitute Michal Przybylski found the back of the net, clinching victory for the leaders.

The Runavíkingar, boosted by the return of Brand H. Olsen for the final half hour, now sit atop the Champions League standings with 16 points, four ahead of KÍ and B36.

B36 also secured a narrow 1-0 win, thanks to Ragnar Samuelsen’s decisive goal against 07 Vestur, leaving the contest at Dungasandur. Meanwhile, in a surprising twist, B68 triumphed 3-1 against HB in Svangaskarð, adding another shock to the day’s results.
