At 9:15 a.m. on Saturday, the Swedish Maritime Administration’s national maritime and rescue center, known as JRCC, sounded the alarm, summoning both the coast guard and the sea rescue society to respond to a distress situation.
The JRCC reported that the incident took place at Ramvik, within the Kramfors municipality, just shy of five kilometers north of the Höga coastal bridge.
According to Sjöräddningsledare Daniel Ståleby, the alarm was raised by an individual aboard a passing vessel who witnessed another boat crashing onto shore at a notable speed.
Emergency services swiftly dispatched an ambulance to the scene, and one person was subsequently transported to a hospital. At this time, the full extent of the injuries remains uncertain.
