The “Permanent Work” network has charted a new course with the appointment of its Board of Directors, elected during the Annual General Meeting held on Wednesday.
This newly constituted board features esteemed representatives from various sectors: Gunnar Nielsen from Effo, Ingunn Eiriksdóttir of Betri Trygging, Jenny A. í Heiðunum from Hotel Djurhuus, Jón H. Atlason of Hiddenfjord, Niels Winther from Vinnuhúsið, and Sunnvard Andreasen from Articon Ulektron Joensen and Elektron.
Currently, 33 companies are part of this vital initiative, all of which share a commitment to sustainability while striving to enhance the framework of working life in the Faroe Islands.
During the meeting, it was decided to merge “Permanent Work” with “Permanent Work-Induction,” consolidating efforts and resources to create a more robust impact.
This collective comprises 6,036 employees, generating 5,189 annual jobs, with a workforce that includes 4,237 men and 2,152 women. Together, they epitomize the dedicated spirit of the “Permanent Work” initiative, working towards a sustainable future for the Faroe Islands.
