The concert drew inspiration from the beloved television series “Do You Still Remember,” which graced the airwaves of the Icelandic National Broadcasting Service a few years back.
Renowned musician Magnus Johannesen took on the task of arranging the series’ evocative songs for orchestral performance. A lineup of exceptional guest singers, including Kristina Bærentsen, Gudrun Sólja Jacobsen, Signar í Homrum, Sámal Ravnsfjall, and the harmonious Carlsen sisters, lent their voices to the evening’s festivities.
At the helm of the orchestra was conductor Sigurður Flosason, whose expertise guided the performance to soaring heights. The concert also featured Suni Merkistein, the creative mind behind “Do You Still Remember,” alongside Hans Petur Hansen, who served as the evening’s engaging narrator.
This enchanting event was captured on film by the National Broadcasting Corporation of Iceland, ensuring that the magic of the night would be preserved for future audiences.
