Earlier this week, Jyllands-Posten reported that Frederiksberg Municipality has taken the unusual step of filing a police complaint against Allan Feldt, who captured images of a pedagogue and a group of children at a daycare playground in the area.

This incident has sparked considerable backlash within the Danish Parliament, leading the party to reconsider its stance on a subsequent post from Feldt that has not gone unnoticed.

    ### New Post Provokes Party Response

In a recent TikTok post, Jyllands-Posten highlights that Feldt shared a photo depicting two individuals—one asleep and another sitting on a bench beside a heavily laden pram—with the label “beast” superimposed over it. Another image shows a woman alongside the same two people, captioned with the phrase “Beauty and the Beast.”

As reported by Jyllands-Posten, this particular post has since been deleted.

“Shouldn’t there be room to step aside?” some might wonder.

“No, you shouldn’t label others as beasts. That kind of communication has no place in the Danish People’s Party, regardless of whether the individual is a member of parliament or not. We categorically reject it,” stated Alex Ahrendtsen, emphasizing his disapproval.

When asked whether expelling Feldt from the party might be on the table, Ahrendtsen replied, “Not at this moment, but I would argue that actions like these serve as a stepping stone. Yesterday marked the first step; today is the second. I fully expect Allan to follow our request to suspend his reports and cease any social media communications.”

Is there an implicit gag order for him, the journalist inquired?

“Yes, indeed. Allan must learn to communicate in keeping with the Danish People’s Party’s standards for dignified conduct, and he needs to understand what it means to be a member of parliament,” Ahrendtsen clarified. “Until that learning occurs, we will suspend his reports and his social media activity.”

Expressing his feelings on the matter, Ahrendtsen added that he is “personally disappointed,” although he maintains a fondness for Allan.

Feldt, a rapporteur for artificial intelligence, digitalization, research, and entrepreneurship, now finds himself at a crossroads both within his party and the public eye.
