G! Festival Unveils Final Lineup for 2026

Last autumn, the G! Festival announced that this year’s lineup has been finalized, revealing an exciting roster of performers. Among the twelve new names are renowned artists like Teitur & Girls in Airports, Eivør, and Afenginn, adding a vibrant mix to the festival’s offerings.

These acts will join the lineup alongside Faroese band Clickhaze, making a long-awaited return after 23 years, as well as American sensation Oliver Tree and Iceland’s own Ásgeir Trausti, who are poised to be among this year’s standout performers.

In a press release, the festival also hinted at upcoming announcements regarding the JÚXN cultural platform and a special children’s event. JÚXN promises to enrich the festival experience with diverse activities, including discussions, Faroese dance, and church services, ensuring there’s something for everyone.

The G! Festival continues to be a beacon of global music in the Faroe Islands, a unique opportunity to experience exotic sounds that are otherwise hard to find locally. While events like the Jazz Festival and Summer Tones offer their share of brilliance, it’s at G! where attendees can truly immerse themselves in an eclectic tapestry of global rhythms.

This year, the festival is set to feature an impressive lineup of international talent. Notable artists include Orchestra Mendoza from Mexico, American musician Fantastic Negrito, Tamikrest from Mali, Iranian band Faravaz, and the emerging Danish act Say, which draws from Turkish and Kurdish influences.
